Developed during the Sugar Salon residency 2006/07.
Our investigations were based on the ideas of moving without choice or effort knowing that this will give way to “death” as one always must choose to live. We also worked with removing the effort and integrity required to maintain architectural forms, or facades. Theatrically, these elements were placed on the precipice of holiday, where expectations often give way to disappointment. This work is influenced by the books, The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins and The Wisdom of Insecurity by Alan Watts.
